Foxshadow looked up and flicked her ear in greeting, “Hey.” She said, finishing her frog and licking her muzzle, “What’s up?”

“Nothing. Just saw you out here alone so I thought I’d come talk.” Ferretclaw looked at her, trying to sound smooth and confident.

Foxshadow blinked at him, “Talk about what?” She asked, licking a paw and drawing it over her face.

“Oh uh.” Ferretclaw didn’t think this through. “Just anything I guess.”

Foxshadow’s whiskers twitched in amusement, “Been on any interesting patrols lately?” She asked, “We checked the SkyClan border earlier, “Not much going on there.”

“I went up to the carrion place yesterday.” Ferretclaw spoke. “Nothing interesting up there. Just a few rats and the light scent of twoleg.”

Honeypaw stretched his legs, narrowing his eyes at the apprentice’s den around him. Were the other apprentices going to try and train? He puffed a light breath, preferring to find Oakstalk. He pushed out of the den to look for his mentor.

(Howdy!)
Brittlefoot sighed in discontent as the wind shook his spiked pelt. He truly did hate his frailty, and it was the only time he envied his sister’s sturdy pelt and body. Well, at least he had Shortcloud to keep him warm. His eyes flickered giddily at the thought of her, as they always did.
Honeypaw and Lilypaw were sparring in camp, quick and clever, matching eachother’s blows and techniques, until Lilypaw scooted near his legs and tripped him. He hissed lightly.

Shortcloud was also out on patrol, fluffing her fur at the cold weather. Soon enough it would snow, and then they'd be victim to the hunger of leaf-bare once again. She never looked forward to it.

Cedarstar padded out of his den, shaking his pelt of loose moss while fluffing up his fur. He looked up through the trees to peer at the gray sky, hoping the first snows of leaf-bare would hold off as long as possible.

Coalpaw crouched low, his bright eyes flickering as he watched a feather flutter down. With a hefty breath, he lunged at it, batting it back into the air with a small laugh.
Honeypaw and Lilypaw had finished their sparring, and were now watching Coalpaw chase the feather. Honeypaw shot a quick glance over as he spotted Cedarstar.

Cedarstar spotted the apprentice and flicked his ear in interest to their activities. He glanced around the camp, realizing that their mentors must have been sent on patrols. He padded over to them with a kind smile on his face. "How's the training going?"
Palepaw and Whorlpaw were in the apprentice den, straightening their nests. At the sound of their father's voice, they both perked up.

At the sound of their father's voice, they both perked up. Honeypaw straightened his shoulders out as he turned to face Cedarstar. Dipping his head lightly, he mewed. “Training has been going sufficiently. Oakstalk has been teaching me very useful fighting moves.” Lilypaw gave a small hum of agreement. “Ratmask is always clever...I’m always kept on my toes.” Coalpaw did not answer right away, peering lightly at Cedarstar, a bit hesitant before he shook his light doubts away and gave a bright purr. “I think I’m starting to do pretty good again! See? My wounds are all healed. I have really tough scars now!” He bragged.

"I'm glad to see you're all doing well." Cedarstar chuckled lightly. "And working hard no doubt." He looked at Coalpaw. "Now that you're all healed up, you'll be able to join the other apprentices in their training sessions. No need for you to fall even further behind."

"Now that you're all healed up, you'll be able to join the other apprentices in their training sessions. No need for you to fall even further behind." “I’ve been working really hard. Ashrock’s really been on me about it. But I don’t mind.” Coalpaw boasted with a puff of his chest. The black tom left words unsaid, though it was clear he was more happy with Ashrock just being there than any kind of hard training they did. “As he should be.” Honeypaw rumbled tightly, his blue eyes flickering to the side in slight exasperation. The sharp tom still did not fancy Ashrock, but it was clear he was far less hostile now that Ashrock was actually giving Coalpaw the time. Lilypaw spoke up next, her voice soft yet steady. “How are you, Cedarstar? Is there anything you would like us to do?” She offered.

(I can rp today if anyone wants to! Sorry for being inactive, I’m taking about 3x as many classes as I did last year and I’m still adjusting to the workload with the amount of homework. I just haven’t really been in the mood to rp for a few months.)

Cedarstar flicked his ear at the mention of his brother. He looked at Lilypaw. "I just wanted to hear about your progress. I'm sure a few of the apprentices should be having their assessments soon."

Burningpaw doesn’t say it, but I can tell she’s antsy and excited to have her assesment.” Lilypaw chuckled gently, trying not to think of her own yearning for a chance to prove all the skills Ratmask had taught her. “Anything to get her away from the center so we can move our nests closer to it sounds good to me.” Honeypaw puffed with a flick of his curled ears, already dreading the upcoming cold.

Honeypaw glanced towards Palepaw and Whorlpaw, his expression betraying his calculating thoughts. Far more energetic and open, Coalpaw sprang to his paws and called brightly to the younger apprentices. “Palepaw! Whorlpaw! There you are! Honeypaw and Lilypaw and I were wondering where you were!” Honeypaw flicked his ear with a hint of a sigh, looking at his brother before he corrected. “Mere curiosity. Coalpaw wanted to invite you into his usual schemes.” Lilypaw gave a light laugh. “We’re sorry for Honeypaw’s prickly pelt.”

"It seems like we always spend more time starving in the cold than enjoying the warm weather." At least she had Brittlefoot to support her. “Well, we can certainly escape the cold together after patrol. To be honest, just spending time inside the Warrior’s den at your side sounds like the perfect way to spend my time.” Brittlefoot offered, a hint of flirting humor in his creaked voice. He flicked his tail, shaking out his dark fur once again.

"We were just adjusting out nests. Whorlpaw found some moss when we were checking out the camp walls."
