(Oh okay, sorry if that sounded rude. But anyways anyone want to It's never goodbye. We'll see each other again, I promise." Embertail murmured. He didn't know the next time he could see her, or even how he would meet up with her. "Where are you going to be staying?" beefsmoothie I have Stonestreak open!)

"Sounds good to me," The fluffy tom, crouched ready to pounce, "Just gotta wait for a fish." The waiting part of fishing was always a bit of a bore to a tom who lived things happening, bu the good thing was that fish couldn't hear you, so you could easily pass the time by babbling on about just about anything. He felt a tiny sparkle of happiness when he noticed how into this Brackenpaw was becoming - maybe they'd make a caring medicine cat of him yet.

Fawnwhisper smiled. She knew Amberfern was just trying to make her feel better, but it sort of made her feel like she was an apprentice on fire day out of camp, scared of every new thing. Fawnwhisper shook her fur out and followed Amberfern. "So..." She said quietly. "Where are we going now?" She hoped she sounded cheerful, but she wasn't the best at concealing her emotions.

Yarrowberry didn't hesitate to bound after Hawkfeather. "I'm coming!" She chirped. She came to a halt beside the other warrior, a friendly smile on her face. She hadn't talked to Hawkfeather much, aside of today. I should get to know him better. I should get to know all of my clan mates better! She thought happily. Her blue eyes were big and sparkling with energy and excitement.

"I'll be around." Rosemary meowed softly, pressing her face against his and breathing in his warm scent. "I'll just stay in my den, the one I showed to you before Firestrike interrupted?" She twisted her tail with his. "I'm never too far away. Just... come see me once and a while, okay?" The rouge met his discolored eyes with her gray ones, minnows of sadness swimming in their depths.
Brackenpaw nodded, his muscles in his shoulder trembling slightly as he wasn't used to holding his paw up for this long. After a few more heartbeats he began to let it down, realizing that waiting for a fish to swim by could take hours, but a flash of silver caught his attention and his paw flashed out, hooking the slime of a fish and flinging it up into the air. Not towards them, but away to the other side of the river where it flopped on the bank for a few seconds then plopped back into the water. "Oops." The apprentice flicked his ears as they grew hot with embarrassment. "Guess the dirt isn't as hungry as the Clan." He winced at his own lame attempt at humor.
"Just along the eastern border. We need to make sure that the rogues are really gone." Amberfern glanced back at Fawnwhisper. "It was a tough battle, one that all of us will remember, and we need to make sure that it won't happen again." The deputy meowed, hoping that she wasn't scaring the skittish warrior but knew that she had to tell the truth at least with this. "If we see or smell rogues hanging out around the border, we'll go back to camp and grab a few more warriors before coming and reminding them that this is our territory. Hopefully without a fight."
Hawkfeather purred as they began to pad out of camp, his tail flicking back and fourth as he walked, enjoying the warmth and the friendly smells of his territory. "So, Yarrowberry," The tom began, wanting to make a new friend of this warrior. "Tell me, what do you enjoy doing more? Hunting or fighting?" The tom ducked under a low hanging branch, hoping to start a conversation.

"Of course." Embertail promised. "I'll try to see you as often as possible, you know I will." He bit back a wail of sadness, as he didn't know when he could sneak away from the clan. "I'll always be here." He touched noses with her, and gave her ear a comforting lick.

Fawnwhisper nodded, saying nothing. Worry bubbled up inside her. I hope we don't meet any rogues...and if we do, I hope it doesn't come to a battle! She flattened her ears and followed Amberfern quickly. "Rogues are such troublemakers.." She muttered, eyes cast down. "Why do they even bother trying to take over our territory..?"

(Same :c I ship them so hard though it's not even funny)
Rosemary couldn't help but whimper in sadness, holding herself against him, and knowing that he would have to return to his Clan soon, or else there would be questions. "Okay, Clan cat, I love you. And I will see you again." She nuzzled his neck.
"Because they want to show that they're stronger than us, I guess." Amberfern growled as they padded towards the border. "But we all know that our Clan is stronger than any rouge, because we have something to fight for." The deputy said simply, tasting the air as they drew closer.

"I love you too my dearest rouge. I love you too." He sighed sadly and nuzzled her back. The tom wished he could stay like this forever, not having to worry about boundaries and the warrior code. Embertail touched noses with her before stepping away. "I'll see you soon." He breathed in her sweet scent for one last time before bounding off into clan territory.
{I wrote that like they wouldn't see each other again oml. that was depressing }

Softpaw gave a small whoop of surprise when Brackenpaw's paws flashed by, he'd been drifting off in the sunlight and had ended up getting his nose splashed with water. He gave a couple of giggles at the other tom's joke and nudged Brackenpaw with his shoulder, "That's the luckiest fish in the river! But that was good! You've got power alright!" He nodded, a little surprised he'd managed to get the fish out first time. The first time Softpaw had tried, he'd ended up just getting his foot wet, "I think if you just take it down a notch, you'll be just right for scooping fish."

(Ahhh no this is so sad)
Rosemary let out a shaky breath as she watched Embertail leave, staying exactly where she was until he was out of sight. She grit her teeth and dug her claws into the ground. Please come back soon. I'll get so lonely by myself. Rosemary blinked away the tears before slowly stepping back and glancing back, pain clenching her chest, before padding forward with a deep breath, slipping into the undergrowth and returning to her den.
Brackenpaw chuckled, taking a step back and shaking the water droplets from his paw. "Sorry I got you wet." He glanced at the medicine cat apprentice, eyes glimmering with something that could be taken as amusement. "Can we try again? I feel like I could catch one." The usually shy tom was opening up, he enjoyed the friendliness that Softpaw had.

"Of course." He shook his head once more to get rid of the water and bounced where he sat, "I got good feelings about this! And I have been told by many that I have very good intuition." Another lie, Softpaw could predict the future as well as a stick. In fact it was probably his poorest area, his connection with Starclan was weak at best, being both secular and not found of being told what to do. "Come on, let's try again." He crouched down low by the water, launches in the air, tail curled into a lazy circle behind him

"Okay, but I feel like the more I try the more likely it is that I'll fall in." Brackenpaw meowed, shifting closer to the river again and raising his paw up, feeling his shoulder tremble slightly in protest. I'm going to be sore tomorrow... The tom thought, but realized that a little soreness would be worth this new friend, and it was the first time he wasn't just slugging around camp feeling sorry for himself and his siblings. 'Bout time you grow up, Brackenpaw. Shaking his head slightly to clear his thoughts, he spotted a flash of silver and scooped down, but missed, coming up with just a pawful of water. "Missed that one." He said almost sheepishly, shaking out his paw before raising it up again, eyes intent on the water below him.

Fawnwhisper flattened her ears. "It's just..." She shook her self, ears flapping. "It's annoying." She finished, her eyes flashing. "They have no right to keep trying to take our territory, or start fights." She could feel her fur bristling, but this time it wasn't out of fear or worry, it was anger. For once she forgot her anxiety and was just...mad.

"If you fall," Softpaw took a dramatic breath, "I will suffer the rest of the day smelling funny and my fur going curly, and jump in after you. Then, we will have both fallen in. And that's not as embarrassing." Humidity did funny things to the medicine cat apprentice's pelt, and being the vaguely vain tom that he was, this was the ultimate sacrifice he could offer Brackenpaw at the moment. When he missed, he was about to say something, nut noted how quiuckly Brakcnepaw got back into position, and shut his mouth, smiling a little. Heck he was going to be a great medicine cat.
Addertail waddled out of the nursery, large belly contrasted against skinny, lanky limbs. She huffed and puffed, walking was getting difficult, an annoying feature of this 'pregnancy' malarkey that a normally active she-cat found particularly distasteful. It could be worse however, she'd heard horror stories of pains in limbs for moons, but so far, she was ache free. Still, the walk to the freshkill pile was long and annoying. The only upside was that she could eat whatever she wanted, and no one could stop her. Whole rabbit to herself? Three fish? She had the ultimate excuse. The brown and black she-cat decided to go for the fish today, funny thing about having kits sometimes you just got a hankering for a certain food. Picking a fairly fresh one off the top of the pile, she slowly eased herself down, muttering and huffing as she went. After a fairly dramatic landing, she settled down to tuck into her breakfast.

Nightheart padded out towards the fresh kill pile. The normally cheerful elder was silently cursing his aching joints all the way. When he got there, however, he was faced with the choice of mouse or vole, so he paused to consider his choose.

"Hey Nightheart." Addertail said cheerfully through her mouthful of fish, "What's up?" She'd gotten much closer with the edlers of late, after being confined to camp until she gave birth, and really not having much else to do.

Brackenpaw glanced at Softpaw to make sure he was still ready before glancing back at the water again, determined to catch a fish today. Even if it was small, this had given him a new goal, rather than just getting up in the morning. The tom waited... and waited... and waited... His mind began to wander, wondering why Stonestreak never taught him to fish.. It was relatively simple. Anyway, the Clan was still recovering injury wise, and his training had sort've been held up as his mentor had gotten pretty badly hurt. Movement in the water jerked Brackenpaw back to reality and his paw flashed down, claws hooking a fish and he backed up quickly, so the flopping thing landed on their side of the bank.
"I know." Amberfern growled, stopping as they reached the border. "And then after warning and warning and we finally attack, they say its our fault." She huffed, lashing her tail before sniffing around the border, relieved to find that most scents were just prey or her Clan. "Looks like, at least here, we're safe for now."

Softpaw had nearly been asleep, his mind not quite as worried as Brackenpaw's, and the fish was a shock. It took him a second to remember his role in this process and he quickly reached down and clamped his jaws around the fish, ending it's wiggiling. His head shot up, eyes bright and a wide grin on his face, "You did it! Well done, Brackenpaw!" He gave him a playful, forceful shoulder charge, laughing with glee. Honestly, this was partially just because he wasn't sure he could sit out in this heat and not get anything out of it. How would he justify it to his mentor? Plus, it was a good catch, very clean.

"Oh, you know, bored out of my skull to the point where I wish I could go hunting. Unfortunately my joints, and Bramblepath, won't let me right now." Nightheart replied to Addertail.

Brackenpaw couldn't help but laugh along. "We did it!" He purred loudly, his tail waving. As Softpaw shoved him his back paws slipped and ended up in the stream. "Great StarClan that's cold!" He gasped, although a mischievous glint made it's way into his green eyes. "You know, now I'll have to get you back for that." The broad shouldered tom slammed down his paw on the surface of the stream, sending water droplets everywhere, including to where Softpaw was standing.
