"I don't think we're strong enough." Rosemary didn't take her eyes off Embertail for a moment, telling herself over and over that he was okay. "Is there a way you can maybe get out? Are there any holes in that nest?" She asked, remembering how easily they dug out of the cages back there.
(Bye Jade! Have a ton of fun!!)

(oml what if there's a cat flap.)
Embertail shrugged, and lept off the window sill looking for a way to escape. He ran through the tiled room, not seeing anything. He growled UN frustration and continued to look for ab escape route.

(Ahaha yes x3)
Rosemary stayed by the windowsill, looking in with her tail lashing stressfully. "Where are the twolegs? Are they gone?" (Sorry for the short post)

(should he just come out of a cat flap because that simplifies so much.)
Embertail ran back to the windowsill and jumped onto it. He stares at Rosemary for a minute before shaking his head. "The Twolegs are gone." He meowed, though his voice was muffles through tje glass.

(M'kay. You can choose which.)
Yarrowberry had left the warrior's den, and she was padding around aimlessly in camp. She was bored, and needed something to do. Every time she walked past a den, she would peer in to make sure everything was alright.

Olmtail nodded at the tom's greeting, relieved to see he was not unpleasantly surprised by her attempting to start a conversation. After Stripedstorm had made his quick comment about the weather, she glanced up for a moment. It was warm, but there were clouds further on the horizon, and a strange atmosphere seemed to be present. It could maybe predict a coming storm of some sorts. She hoped this wasn't the case and that it'd actually stay this nice. 'It is, I hope it stays this way.' she meowed, still keeping an eye on the sun, which was now emitting a dim morning light. She saw Snakefang, one of her Clanmates passing by, and responded to her short greeting by nodding back politely. Shortly after, she turned back to Stripedstorm. 'Do you have any hunting plans for today?' She asked him.

(woops! sorry i haven't been active in here yet ^^ Spiderclaw was enjoying grooming himself in the warm sun just outside of the warrior's den. With a yawn and a stretch, he flexed his claws and padded out of camp, planning on hunting and enjoying his time away from other cats.

Hawkfeather raised his head as he watched Yarrowberry walk by for the third time. Letting out a yawn the young warrior hopped to his paws and padded out of the den, stretching just before he exited. "Yarrowberry, what are you up to?" The tom chuckled slightly, tilting his head and waving his tail.

is anyone free? I have five free cats open c: )
Addertail waddled out of the nursery, large belly contrasted against skinny, lanky limbs. She huffed and puffed, walking was getting difficult, an annoying feature of this 'pregnancy' malarkey that a normally active she-cat found particularly distasteful. It could be worse however, she'd heard horror stories of pains in limbs for moons, but so far, she was ache free. Still, the walk to the freshkill pile was long and annoying. The only upside was that she could eat whatever she wanted, and no one could stop her. Whole rabbit to herself? Three fish? She had the ultimate excuse. The brown and black she-cat decided to go for the fish today, funny thing about having kits sometimes you just got a hankering for a certain food. Picking a fairly fresh one off the top of the pile, she slowly eased herself down, muttering and huffing as she went. After a fairly dramatic landing, she settled down to tuck into her breakfast.
Softpaw picked his way down the hill from camp, enjoying the cool, gentle soil under his paws. There was nothing better then the smell of the grass after rain, just nothing. It helped that the weather was nice and hot too, a very pleasant mixture. The fluffy tom reached the trough of the hill and looked back up, camp was invisible, only tall grasses and blue skies. That comforted him, the world was full of dangers, but at least his clan had the best hidden camp known to any cat. Cream and brown fur brushing through the flora and fauna of the territory, he headed over to a little stream, it's clear water looked cool and inviting, and if he wasn't quite so vain, or at least a better swimmer, he'd be in it, splashing about. As for today however, he satisfied himself to simply lap up the ice cold water.
Fiachra sniffed carefully at the border. It was an unusual scent, but a very familiar one. That 'clan'. Whoever they were. Bunch of bullies if you asked Fiachra. He'd learnt about them the hard way a few days ago, accidentally crossing a border and getting chased off with his tail between his legs. His stomach growled painfully and he winced, embarrassed and hungry was not a good combination. He'd never been the best hunter, and life on his own was taking it's toll on this skinny strip of fur. Turning away from the clan's territory, he headed back the way he came, sniffing desperately for any prey scent. All he could see was the stream by him, and Fiachra was no fisher. His mother had never taught him, nor had he told him how to swim. His brothers didn't care much about it either. This loner was now kicking himself for not finding out anyway.
Flax yawned, and her face contorted slightly in pain. This was another scar for her collection, another mark of her life. Blood seeped gently from the open wound across her nose, and she gingerly wiped it was her big paw, licking and cleaning. This cut was tiny compared to the other's she'd had and besides, she'd won, hand't she? Her prize sat in front of her as she lay out in the sun, a hawk, very battered and very bruised, but it would feed her for days. Flax was too big to be a very good hunter by nature, so she tended to go for the more dangerous, larger prey. Got nothing to loose. The hawk had been a total fluke, she'd never caught a bird in her life, it'd put up a decent fight too. It'd been close to, she'd been just over that stupid Sparrowclan's borders. She didn't know if she'd been spotted, or if she'd be scented later, but as of now, she didn't care. She was back on her side, victorious and about to be fed.
Roseclaw was very low to the ground, watching the boulder in front of him without moving. The frog was completely unaware of his presence, it just sat there, ribbiting away, not a care in the world. Ugly thing, frogs. Weird eyes, slimy skin, that disgusting billowing pouch. All the same, it was food. Food was made to be eaten, not looked at. He took a slow step forward, actually aware that his large black form was probably very visible in the pale grass. He pounced, landing solidly on the boulder, and grasping the frog in his jaws before it realized what was happening. Unfortunately, the boulder was quite slippery, what with the water near it, and Roseclaw was a big, bulky tom. It wasn't long before he, frog and all, was off the rock with a startled yowl and in the water. Sodden and embarrassed, but a successful hunt. Just so long and no one saw.

"Me too." Stripedstorm mewed as a soft, gentle breeze blew. He shook his head. "And No, no hunting plans yet." The tabby tom kept sending curious glances over at Yarrowberry. His tail lashed once, before laying neatly on his paws.
Yarrowberry jumped in surprise and halted in front of the Apprentice's den. She looked over her shoulder at Hawkfeather. "Hi!" She exclaimed, turning around so her whole body was facing him. "I'm just checking in on things every two seconds— I have nothing better to do."

Brackenpaw opened his eyes as the dawn light reached his nest. Groaning the young apprentice hauled himself to his paws, hooking his claws to his nest and stretching out his shoulders. Seeing no one else in the den, and as he padded outside he noticed no one was around, the tom decided it wouldn't hurt to go for a little walk. Since his mother had died, he had been more closed off than ever, only really speaking to his siblings or his mentor. Socializing and making friends didn't seem worth it at that moment, to him it just meant more people to loose. Stupid rouge battle. He thought for the millionth time in those two moons as he padded out of camp, heading down with no real direction in his movements. Spotting Softpaw, Brackenpaw slowed, debating to go down to the river and say hello or not.
Hawkfeather chuckled. "I guess that's one way to pass time." He meowed, glancing around at the almost completely quiet camp. "Would you like to join me on a hunt, then?" That tom offered, flicking his tail as he glanced around. "The fresh-kill pile could use restocking anyway, and it'll be a nice way to get out of camp."

Fawnwhisper opened her eyes. Oh StarClan...am I late...? She leaped to her paws, gave herself a quick groom, and ran into the camp. She frowned, seeing there weren't many cats in the clearing. "Perhaps I should go hunting..." She muttered to herself. "Or maybe I should for more cats to come back...don't want the camp ungaurded." She flattened her ears. What if someone-or something, attacks!? Fawwhisper's fur bristled. "Yes...better to stay in camp." She said out loud. Oops She shook out her fur, and, still tense, padded over to the fresh kill pile.

Amberfern spotted Fawnwhisper padding over to the fresh-kill pile and waved her tail in hello from by the elder's den where she was grooming her fur. The deputy stood up and walked over, green eyes friendly. "Good morning, Fawnwhisper." The she-cat meowed, flicking her tail. "How are you?"

On a whim, the breeze catching his ears and face, Softpaw lifted and turned his head, and spotted Brackenpaw not far behind him. Raising his fluffy tail in greeting, the medicinal apprentice smiled, "Hey!" He knew Brackenpaw was a little shy and not one for chitchat, and had good intentions to not pressure him, but Softpaw's ability to talk to literally anyone had not stopped him in the past and would not stop him today. Brackenpaw didn't have to talk back, just listen. All this soft furred tom needed in life was a working pair of ears to yap onto, "You busy? Come down, it's nice and cool here!" He demonstrated by dipping one paw in and dappling it, a little shiver passing through him as his poofy foot was dampened.

Fawnwhisper's head shot up, but she relaxed when she saw it was only the deputy, Amberfern. "Oh, good morning, Amberfern. I'm doing fine, thank you." She sat down with her tail curled around her paws. "I was just thinking...do you think I should stay in camp today, you know, just incase, or go hunting..?" She dipped her head. "Or perhaps I should go on a patrol...or check the borders..?" Fawnwhisper sighed. "There's so much I could do to help...but what if something bad happens when I do it...?" Her voice rose, and she coughed. "I'm sorry...I just...eh."

Brackenpaw hesitated, then realized that Softpaw would probably be the best cat to hang around now, especially since he knew that talking would be minimal, if required at all, on his part, so the young apprentice padded down and dipped his head in greeting. "You're right, it is nice down here." He meowed, the cool air around him a relief from the already warm day. Brackenpaw glanced around and reached down to lap up some of the cold droplets before sitting back on the bank, letting the mist of the occasional splash of the river hit his long brown fur. "Catch any fish?" The tom asked quietly, hoping to start a conversation that now could be taken up by Softpaw and he could just sit and listen.
Amberfern's eyes softened and she nudged Fawnwhisper for a moment. "You know, Fawnwhisper, you don't need to worry on what needs to be done, that's my job." She teased lightly, hoping to ease up this nervous she-cat. "And when you're doing it, all you have to do is trust yourself and give it your best, that's all anyone can do. And if something goes wrong," Amberfern sat down and curled her tail around her front paws, keeping her gaze on the warrior. "Well, you've done all you can do, and that's what Clanmates are for, to help you out. If you've given it your all, it's usually not your fault." The deputy said gently.

Fawnwhisper hung her head. "I know..I'm sorry..." She looked up. "Thanks, Amberfern." Although it wouldn't stop Fawnwhisper from worrying, it made her feel better. She allowed herself a little chuckle, and her fur flattened, her whole body loosening. "So..are you saying stay in camp..?" She pricked her ears, her eyes twinkling slightly. Oh...I don't think that was very funny but...I hope she says I can stay in camp...but I wouldn't mind hunting..I need a good run..perhaps I could check the border whil I'm at it.. Fawnwhisper bent down slightly, rolling a mouse out of the fresh-kill pile.

"Hey, you have nothing to apologize for." Amberfern meowed, standing up and flicking Fawnwhisper with her tail, almost playfully. The she-cat glanced around, deciding on what needed to be done. "Sure, you can stay in camp if you'd like." The deputy paused for a moment. "But if you'd rather go out and do a border patrol with me rather than help the apprentices clean out dens, the offer still stands." She said, a twinkle in her eye showing she wasn't exactly serious, but it was her friendly way of asking her to do a patrol.

He scoffed and looked skeptical, "Who, me? That's your job," He flashed a toothy grin, "You, big, burly warrior cats. I am not to get my paws dirty," He made a large show of ruffling his fur in mock offense at the other apprentice's question. Taking on a mocking, high pitched tone, he joked in mock seriousness, "It's against my vows to hurt any living thing." In reality, Softpaw was an apt fisher, honestly it was the only thing he could hunt. Even herbs alluded him from time to time. He just didn't feel like it today. Honestly, it was too warm for his long haired tom to think about anything other then a good nap. He knew if his mentor caught him lying around however, he'd be put to work in seconds, and so, was avoiding camp like Greencough.

Fawnwhisper brightened. "I'd love to!" She sprang to her feet, eyes bright. "Is anyone else going to come?" She looked around the clearing, her head tilted slightly. Thos is going to be fun...! Finally, something to do! Fawnwhisper's tail suddenly drooped a bit. "What if we meet something nasty...?" She muttered under her breath. "Oh dear...no...I'll do it. I have to!"

Brackenpaw couldn't hold back at the laugh that escaped for a few seconds, it sounded more like a scoff, but there was enough humor in there to call it a laugh. Seeing that was the first time he had done anything close to amusement in a while, it was a small victory for him. "Right, us big, burly warriors." He shook his head slightly, eyes gleaming. "I can catch a rabbit any day, but fish are a bit tricky yet." Brackenpaw paused. "Seeing, you know, I became an apprentice two moons ago." The tom turned his gaze back onto the water, watching the silver flashes that popped up now and then as fishes swam by.
Amberfern laughed lightly. "No, it'll be just us." She meowed before hopping to her paws. "Shall we, then?" The deputy asked, tilting her head. (Sorry for short post)
