With a quick flick of her tail, the white she-cat patted up a leaf. She stared as the thin green object slowly spiraled down to the ground, content with the way it caught the slight breeze. Olmtail had tried to get it exactly right a few times now, but now it fell down exactly the way she wanted it to. Her ears perked up when she saw a sudden movement in the warriors den. Quickly, she pushed away the leaf and stood up, not wanting to look like she'd been playing again. She used to be scolded for it as an apprentice fairly often, and didn't want to be reminded of that. Quickly, she took a few steps towards the warriors den. She hadn't been very social yesterday, and even accidentally ignored another cat when she asked whether she wanted to hunt with her. She decided to maybe talk to someone just to make up for that. Soon, her gaze fell on a light brown tabby that was sitting near the entrance of the den. Careful to not seem too quick, she walked towards him and sat down about one tail-length away from him. 'Good morning, Stripedstorm.' she said, her expression neutral as usual, but a friendly gleam in her eyes.

The world was wide enough is so sad I can't handle it!! I'm v weak and emotional. I love the dynamic of Burr and Hamilton's relationship, it's very interesting)
I have all these cats open if anyone would like to rp!! )
Addertail waddled out of the nursery, large belly contrasted against skinny, lanky limbs. She huffed and puffed, walking was getting difficult, an annoying feature of this 'pregnancy' malarkey that a normally active she-cat found particularly distasteful. It could be worse however, she'd heard horror stories of pains in limbs for moons, but so far, she was ache free. Still, the walk to the freshkill pile was long and annoying. The only upside was that she could eat whatever she wanted, and no one could stop her. Whole rabbit to herself? Three fish? She had the ultimate excuse. The brown and black she-cat decided to go for the fish today, funny thing about having kits sometimes you just got a hankering for a certain food. Picking a fairly fresh one off the top of the pile, she slowly eased herself down, muttering and huffing as she went. After a fairly dramatic landing, she settled down to tuck into her breakfast.
Softpaw picked his way down the hill from camp, enjoying the cool, gentle soil under his paws. There was nothing better then the smell of the grass after rain, just nothing. It helped that the weather was nice and hot too, a very pleasant mixture. The fluffy tom reached the trough of the hill and looked back up, camp was invisible, only tall grasses and blue skies. That comforted him, the world was full of dangers, but at least his clan had the best hidden camp known to any cat. Cream and brown fur brushing through the flora and fauna of the territory, he headed over to a little stream, it's clear water looked cool and inviting, and if he wasn't quite so vain, or at least a better swimmer, he'd be in it, splashing about. As for today however, he satisfied himself to simply lap up the ice cold water.
Fiachra sniffed carefully at the border. It was an unusual scent, but a very familiar one. That 'clan'. Whoever they were. Bunch of bullies if you asked Fiachra. He'd learnt about them the hard way a few days ago, accidentally crossing a border and getting chased off with his tail between his legs. His stomach growled painfully and he winced, embarrassed and hungry was not a good combination. He'd never been the best hunter, and life on his own was taking it's toll on this skinny strip of fur. Turning away from the clan's territory, he headed back the way he came, sniffing desperately for any prey scent. All he could see was the stream by him, and Fiachra was no fisher. His mother had never taught him, nor had he told him how to swim. His brothers didn't care much about it either. This loner was now kicking himself for not finding out anyway.
Flax yawned, and her face contorted slightly in pain. This was another scar for her collection, another mark of her life. Blood seeped gently from the open wound across her nose, and she gingerly wiped it was her big paw, licking and cleaning. This cut was tiny compared to the other's she'd had and besides, she'd won, hand't she? Her prize sat in front of her as she lay out in the sun, a hawk, very battered and very bruised, but it would feed her for days. Flax was too big to be a very good hunter by nature, so she tended to go for the more dangerous, larger prey. Got nothing to loose. The hawk had been a total fluke, she'd never caught a bird in her life, it'd put up a decent fight too. It'd been close to, she'd been just over that stupid Sparrowclan's borders. She didn't know if she'd been spotted, or if she'd be scented later, but as of now, she didn't care. She was back on her side, victorious and about to be fed.
Swiftpaw pushed her way out of the apprentice den and blinked up at the sun, pale eyes squinting in the sudden brightness. She wasn't a huge fan of this hot weather, preferring it a bit nippier, but hot weather meant lots of prey, right? No point in grumbling if the clan would benefit. She inwardly scolded herself on being ungrateful, and headed towards the exit. Camp looked relatively peaceful, hardly a whisper to be heard, but she was still a little on edge. Knowing her luck, she'd let her guard down the day there was, pff she didn't know, a badger storm. Like rain, but with badgers. An odd mental image she decided to discard. Swiftpaw was confident in her ability to think of a more apt metaphor later.
Roseclaw was very low to the ground, watching the boulder in front of him without moving. The frog was completely unaware of his presence, it just sat there, ribbiting away, not a care in the world. Ugly thing, frogs. Weird eyes, slimy skin, that disgusting billowing pouch. All the same, it was food. Food was made to be eaten, not looked at. He took a slow step forward, actually aware that his large black form was probably very visible in the pale grass. He pounced, landing solidly on the boulder, and grasping the frog in his jaws before it realized what was happening. Unfortunately, the boulder was quite slippery, what with the water near it, and Roseclaw was a big, bulky tom. It wasn't long before he, frog and all, was off the rock with a startled yowl and in the water. Sodden and embarrassed, but a successful hunt. Just so long and no one saw.

(Sweet. So I'm gonna do my reply from the warrior clan here then)
Rosemary nodded and continued forward, slinking outside but staying close to the wall and thus the shadow, stopping her movement every time she got a whiff of fresh twoleg scent. She stopped as Embertail's scent did, letting out a growl of frustration. "It smells just like a monster now." She lashed her tail.

Stonestreak warily followed her, constantly scenting the air for any trace of her brother. "He should be close though." She reasoned, with a weak attempt to comfort Rosemary. As Embertail's scent stopped, Stonestreak walked up, and next to Rosemary. Being so close to Twolegs unnerved her, and being there with two other cats really calmed her nerves. Her eyes widened at a possibility that Embertail was trapped in a Twoleg nest. "Do you think he is in one of the nests?" The shecat whispered nervously.

Rosemary's ears perked as Stonestreak mentioned a twoleg nest. "He could be. I've heard of forest cats going to live in twoleg nests before... Maybe this was a big nest that the twolegs got cats from?" It sounded weird even as she said it, but then again, twolegs and twolegplace cats were weird. The rouge shook out her fur and looked around, eyes lost. But I don't know where he is.

Embertail let out a muffled yowl, seeing the three cats. "Rosemary! Stonestreak! Firestrike!" He yowled again, and started to scratch at the window. The Twolegs were out of the nest right now, and this was a prime time to escape.

(@neb--yeah, good idea)
Firestrike padded after the she-cats, setting his pace a few steps behind in case any danger hit. The ginger tom was on edge, his fur bristling and his limbs ready to jump at the first scent of danger, despite his best efforts to calm them down. He had never liked twolegs or anything they made—it felt dangerous, and it all stunk worse than crowfood—yet here he was, voluntarily right in the middle of a twolegplace. Shaking his head in exasperation that they hadn't found anything yet, the tom picked up a faint call from somewhere. If it weren't for his senses being on-edge, he probably would have missed it, but in his current state, it was enough to get his attention. "Stop!" He hissed rather abruptly, pricking his ears. "I think I heard something."
(@sappho --ikr! It's so lovely. And Hamilton's little speech gets me every time >.<)
Arisen by a rustle somewhere to her left, Jadepaw blinked awake just in time to catch sight of a young form slip through the stalks of grass that made up her den. Though she couldn't tell exactly who it was from her nest, a quick stretch and a duck out of the den later, she identified the cat as Swiftpaw. "Wait up!" She called, her tabby tail waving and she closed the distance between them with a few bounds, her short legs working hard. Though it had only taken a few seconds, she was already fighting off a bit of panting. That's what I get for sprinting this early in the morning. Though in truth, it was at least a few hours past dawn, Jadepaw had never been much of a morning cat. "Going somewhere?" She purred, waving her tail in greeting to Swiftpaw.

Stonestreak whipped her head around, staring at Firestrike. "What does it sound like? I can't hear anything." She growled in annoyance. Stonestreak had never had particularly good hearing, and under pressure, she wasn't very helpful at all. "Could it be Embertail?" The shecat asked hopefully, many memories of her brother resurfacing.
Embertail kept scratching at the window, noticing they had stopped walking. "Can you hear me?!" He yowled, staring outside the window. The fairness of the Twoleg den made Embertail quite on edge, and he couldn't wait to get out of there.

He said, briefly scanning his surroundings.

"Embertail?!" Rosemary whipped around, hearing the dull noise and her eyes flashing hopefully. Finally her eyes landed on the twoleg window and she let out a whimper of relief, breaking into a run towards it and springing up on the windowsill, pressing her paws against the glass. "Embertail you're okay! You're okay!"

"Just out." She nodded in hello, a little startled by Jadepaw's sudden appearance. "I was thinking of getting some hunting done, it's a nice morning." She added, turning her face towards the sky and blinking up at the vast blue. Swiftpaw couldn't boast that she was all that close with any other apprentice in particular - her rule keeping and competitive nature always seemed to warn cats her age away from her. But Jadepaw was friendly, and she was the one to initiate the conversation after all. Al the same, the grey and ginger she-cat didn't have much practice making small talk and, after a vaguely awkward pause, suggested, "Do you want to come with me? Unless you're busy, of course." If her mentor had given Jadepaw something to do, Swiftpaw did not want to be the reason she didn't do it.

She loved greenleaf, no more stupid cold snow and lack of prey, no more moaning and groaning of hungry cats. However, she knew it would be leaf-fall soon and that made her frown. Pushing herself up, she scanned the camp to clear her head. A couple of her Clanmates were out and about. She noticed Olmtail and Stripestorm talking and debated whether or not to join them. It'd be rude to intrude them, so she just nodded politely to them and every other cat she saw.

Firestrike's head snapped towards Embertail, and he raced after Rosemary, leaping over hedges and a short stone wall to reach the window. "We'll do our best!" He called, peering up at the windowsill in the hopes of catching sight of the tom. It was a small space, probably only holding enough room for one more cat on the ledge, and he was sure Stonestreak was more eager to see her brother than he was.
(@sappho--oh gosh, I love him so much <3) "Of course," Jadepaw replied, the knot of discomfort in her chest brought on my the awkward silence loosening significantly at the request. Being the social cat that she was, she was used to a stream of chatter and filling a space with words, so the opposite made her fur prickle. She hadn't heard from her mentor yet that day—probably because she thought Jadepaw would be asleep for at least another hour, what with her usual late-rising habits—so as long as she was back in a reasonable amount of time, she didn't expect any trouble. "Mistyfur's probably still asleep anyway," Jadepaw explained with an offhand flick of her white-tipped tail. Or she thinks I'm asleep. Chuckling slightly to herself, the young tabby shook out her fur and quickly stretched her spine, enjoying the breeze as it rushed through her thick coat. "Lead the way," She added with a dip of her head.

ANNOUNCEMENT:
I already said this, but since we have some new members, I'll say it again. I'm leaving for camp today, and I won't be back for two weeks (at which point I'm going to Italy, so my wifi might still be spotty). But for the next two weeks, I won't be able to come online at all. You can rp/teleport my cats places as necessary; basically as long as you don't kill them, do what you want because I know some of them are on patrol or otherwise out right now. I'm leaving Bramble, Sky, and Nebulae in charge, so they can accept forms, approve plots, etc. Sorry about the inconvenience, and I hope you guys have a great time while I'm gone!

His hair. He looks so good with it up and down, that's unfair
Good to know!! Also, I entered an art contest with a drawing of Fiachra, and I saw you had an art section on the front page, would you like to add it? ^^''' )
Swiftpaw gave a slightly stiff nod, before exiting camp as she had been. The long grasses brushed past her thin fur and prickled her skin gently and she shivered automatically, it was sort of ghosty. The dappled apprentice definitely preferred the open fields with shorter grasses, and headed out eagerly. The wind picked up her whiskers and pelt once she was out in the open, rustling her slightly and she gave a little smile into the breeze, "Do you have any preferences as to where you'd like to hunt? I was just going to see where I ended up." She said honestly, giving a brief shrug. She wasn't exceptional in any one field, and was happy to hunt rabbits, fish, whatever. She had a bit of a problem with moles however - weird creatures that got her muddy. She wasn't a fan.

Embertail just nodded, placing his trust in the three cats. He muttered something under his breath before looking out the window hopefully. His sister had given no sign of excitement to see him, and he was confused by that.
Stonestreak stayed back while Rosemary sat on the ledge. Sure there was room for another cat, but she didnt want to talk to him right now. The realization had just hit that the reason Embertail had been captures was because he was with Rosemary. Its his own fault. Though she was mad, Stonestreak was still going to try to help get him out. "Could we smash the window?" She wondered out loud.
(have fun at camp! We have alot of forums on the joining page just by the way.)
