I am Dawnsky, but you can call me Dawn... or Frodo. Any nickname is fine with me. Well, that leads me to the title of this thread: Beware of Fangirl. Yeah... I'm a huge fangirl and geek. Please chat with me... even if you're not a geek or fangirl/boy. I promise I'm super nice! Also, just a warning, there may be spoilers for any of the fandoms listed below. If you don't want something to be spoiled, then please give a heads up!
Anyways, here are some fandoms and things that I enjoy:
- Lord of the Rings/ The Hobbit
- Marvel (The MCU and the X-men movies. I have read a few comics now though. :3)
- Pirates of the Caribbean
- Stranger Things
- The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow
- BBC Sherlock
- Les Miserables
- Hunger Games
- Jurassic Park
- Star Wars
- Star Trek
- Harry Potter
- Pixar Movies (Up is my favorite and The Blue Umbrella short)
- Some other Disney movies (Lilo and Stitch, The Emperor's New Groove, Wreck it Ralph, Maleficent...)
- Some 80s movies (Better Off Dead is my favorite)
Well, there are the major ones. There are some more minor ones too, but that would probably take too long.
Some of the characters currently on my mind:
- Loki
- Bucky
- Captain Cold
- James Norrington
Some additional things about myself:
I am creative and a fairly good artist. I want to be a creative writer someday and I should definitely start writing more! I'm a Christain as well, so we can talk about that as well. Since I'm such a LotR geek, I do play LOTRO if anyone else does. I've also got a weird taste in music. I don't listen to things that are remotely popular. Haha!
Here are some of my Favorite Quotes
"Faithless is he that says farewell when the road darkens." -Gimli
"It is faithless now to say farewell." -Legolas
"Short cuts make for long delays." -Pippin
"'Short cuts make for long delays,' but inns make for longer ones." -Frodo
"For nothing was evil in the beginning. Even Sauron was not so." -Elrond
"And the Dwarf, hearing the names given in his own ancient tongue, looked up and met her [Galadriel's] eyes; and it seemed to him that he looked suddenly into the heart of an enemy and saw there love and understanding." - Fellowship of the Ring
"PO-TA-TOES! Boil 'em, mash 'em, stick 'em in a stew!" -Sam Gamgee
"Is everything sad going to come untrue?" -Sam Gamgee
"Gollum looked at them. A strange expression passed over his lean hungry face. The gleam faded from his eyes, and they went dim and grey, old and tired. A spasm of pain seemed to twist him, and he turned away, peering back up towards the pass, shaking his head, as if engaged in some interior debate. Then he came back, and slowly putting out a trembling hand, very cautiously he touched Frodo's knee- but almost the touch was a caress. For a fleeting moment, could one of the sleepers have seen him, they would have thought that they beheld an old weary hobbit, shrunken by the years that had carried him far beyond his time, beyond his friends and kin, and the fields and streams of youth, an old starving pitiful thing." -The Two Towers
