( Hell to the YES. I am all for that. But maybe, to make Seth's life a little harder, she can go there after seeing Seth do the bad, bad thing (kinda like she runs away from home... by going home). And Seth follows her so he can make it up to her, and he goes about it by winning over her family and acting like himself (the Gone, Gone, Gone version he usually hides away). And they can grow closer during the visit? But if you'd rather wait until after they're already closer for the visit home, I'm good with that too. ^^ )
Seth smirked. "Except my bravado has been earned, many times over. And plenty of things have gotten in my way before. I've just overcome those things. Or gone around it. Depends on what it was." He let a half-smile slip, but it vanished quickly. He took a drink. "As for being owed... it's definitely the other way around for me." He owed the world - big time. He just hoped she didn't ask why.

"I think we can manage that," Matthias replied, giving a friendly smile as he walked over to the fridge. Although she asked for a glass of water, it was instinct to just grab one of the bottles of water in the fridge. The group didn't exactly have a good tract record with glassware and only used it on special occasions. The man tossed her one of the said bottles of water. "We have ten people living under one roof. That's bound to be recipe for disasters. He won't -"
"OW! You haven't even numbed it!" Dallas's voice could be heard from somewhere in the house.
"You shouldn't have been out this late. No stop whining, you idiotic whelp, and let me do my job!" Stitch snapped back.
Matthias sighed slightly. "Don't mind them."

"On the contrary, my lady, but you are far more lovely and vibrant than any tree around. More breathtaking than any valley, and more eye catching than any flower in bloom. I would say you are the perfect inspiration," Charles replied, putting on his most proper and charming noble's voice he could, although it was exaggerated quiet a bit for the sake of laughs.
(Nope! That's happening! That is totally how this is going down, because her brothers need to give him as hard a time as possible. XD)
Anya simply shrugged. She seemed to have recalled a similar conversation that they had had earlier. "He mostly just wanted to prove himself," she explained. "It was all hot air and hormones. When he meet his wife, she got him to mellow out real fast. Now they have one child and one on the way. He's too busy to try and act like that now." No, her brother's behavior was nothing like Seth's other than the front he had put up. But the similarities stopped there. She tipped back her glass, finished her drink, and set it on the counter. The woman looked over at him as he stated his last sentence. "I would have thought you would be the kind of person to not keep any debts."

Seth highly doubted that, but he didn't say so. Genevieve was unlikely to let him "waste" his skills on Circle missions - he was too in demand with the Order. He had no time for helping the commonfolk when there were traitors to hunt down, untrustworthy people to spy on, and important relics and artifacts to steal.
Seth dismissed these thoughts when Anya mentioned a test, and smiled. He was good at tests. "Trenton, Jakob, Felix, Ryner, Parker," he repeated. "Trenton is married, has one kid and a second on the way, and he's ten years older than you. Is anyone else married? What's the age differences between them?"

Anya nodded as he listed off the information he recited. "Felix is engaged, and last I knew, Jakob was trying to court a merchant's daughter. I don't know how it's going. Trenton is thirty, Jakob is twenty-nine, Felix twenty-five, Ryner, twenty-two, and Parker is twenty." There was a light in her eyes as she watched him, taking a sip of her third drink. Things were starting to spin and get all fuzzy, but she was still able to follow the conversation. She had left out a piece of information that she didn't say when mentioning the ages, and she was curious to see if he would be able to pick up on it.

( XD That's perfect! I haven't thought about that, and it's so true. XD Please, somehow, we have got to get their nicknames something to relate to that. XD )
"Well, I call him a merchant, but I don't think he was. He came into town with the traveling merchants. He never really said what he was. I didn't even think he was thrilled to have been there. The group was supposed to have been heading north, but they were traveling when the storms were bad. So they had to make a detour for our town. It wasn't often that we got merchants so early in the year, so nearly everyone in the village went to see what they had. Parker and I were walking by the wagon he was sitting on and we were curious as to why he did't have any wares displayed. Parker went to ask him, told us the item he had wasn't for the common folk, putting it mildly, and sent us on our way. He was a right pleasant old man. However, the next day, he came looking for us. Well, more so Parker. Corrik had hatched in the night, much to his surprise. He had thought Parker had been the one he hatched for. Turns out it had been me." Anya grinned and waved her palm which had the Rider insignia marked onto her skin, as if Seth needed that as proof for her story. "So much for not being for common folk."

Well, they did have a discussion about carrots... xD Seth listened to her story with a slight frown, his mind racing. Clearly, this man wasn't a real merchant. But he was travelling with a group of them... with a dragon egg. That could only mean one thing: he'd been looking for someone to hatch it. He'd found that someone in Anya, and then he'd... stuck around to teach her everything she would need to know for life in Ilirea. But why? Seth was quite certain this man, whoever he was, had not been sent by the Circle, and he knew for a fact the Order hadn't sent him either. So who had? And why had they sent Anya to Ilirea instead of taking her with them? It was a mystery, and Seth didn't like mysteries.
When Anya waved her hand by his face - probably getting closer to him than she'd meant to, as depth perception was often greatly affected by alcohol - Seth was pulled from his thoughts. He looked at her palm, and the dragon insignia she was showing him, and gave a half-smile. "Anyone who calls you 'common folk' is wrong, dragon or no dragon," he said sincerely.

(Lol, I actually think it was about lettuce vs cabbage, but close enough. xD)
"He certainly had to eat his words after the egg hatched," Anya replied, downing the rest of her third drink with much more ease than the first two. Then laughed again, though she wasn't really sure why. The conversation, however, didn't stay on the same topic long. "I'm in the mood for some of Camille's sweets. Do you think we can go get some?" She asked, completely missing the small compliment that he had given her. Had she not been well on her way to being drunk, she might have blushed. Now, however, she wanted something sugary.

Alexa caught the water bottle with a thank you and then snapped her head in the direction of Dallas's voice when he yelled. "What's going on? What are you guys doing anyways? Shouldn't he go to a hospital?" When she had saw Dallas in a new light she could tell that it was worse than it was and that he really should have gone to the hospital. --- Amelia laughed and rolled her eyes, "if you say so, but I don't believe you. Now, what do you really want to learn how to paint first?" Casper was a character, she could say that for sure.

"But I want to go there myself," Anya argued. "I wanted to talk with her again. See what kinds of stories she can tell me about you since I now know you grew up together." As the water was put before her, she stared at it, puzzled. "Why do I need this? I just had three drinks. I think I'm plenty hydrated."
"Stitch is a doctor," Matthias informed her. "All he's doing is giving Dallas stitches. That's all. But, because this is a house and not a hospital, he doesn't have all those wonderful concoctions that will numb a limb before being patched up. It's really not that bad, so Stitch must be extra irritated. Trust me, he'll be done in a few minutes just fine."

Charles laughed and shook his head. "One day, you'll believe me," he said. Then returned to a more serious line of conversation. "Flowers seem like a simple place to start. Or maybe a tree."

Anya grinned, feeling as if she won the argument. She took the glass and took a couple of sips of the water. "Okay, let's go!" she declared. She slipped, quite literally, from her bar stool, stumbled a bit, the giggled. "Come on!" Recovering, she headed back for the door, not looking to see if Seth was following.

Seth started to protest and make her drink more, but before he could she was already up and moving, albeit unsteadily. He half-rose from his seat when she stumbled, ready to catch her if she truly lost her footing. Then she was off, and he just stared after her for a moment, wondering what the heck he'd just created by giving her alcohol. He caught Abe's eye, a question in his, but the big man just shrugged. She's your problem, not mine, the gesture seemed to say. Seth huffed. "I'll come settle my tab later," he said before hurrying after Anya. The woman hadn't bothered to wait for him, too eager to get to her sweets. He wondered what she'd do when she found out he wasn't taking her to get sweets. Drunk Anya was one thing; vomiting drunk Anya was a whole other ball park.

By the time Seth made it outside, Anya was already walking purposely down the street - in the wrong direction. With a muttered curse, he hurried to catch up. "Whoa there, racer. Slow down, would you?" He took her wrist in a firm grip and started steering her in the right direction, feeling all the while like he was suddenly walking a toddler. Despite telling her to slow down, he did nothing more to check her speed; the sooner they got to his place, the better.
It took forever (at least, it felt to Seth like forever) before his building came into sight ahead. He pointed to out to Anya. "Hey, mind if we make a quick stop at my place? I need to grab some money." Hopefully she wouldn't remember that he didn't carry cash.

"We need to get there quickly," Anya pointed out. "Otherwise she might not have as many to choose from." That was not something she could have actually confirmed, but to her it made sense. The longer it took them to reach the store, then that meant more time other people could browse and buy all the best options. She didn't protest him grabbing her by the wrist. If anything, she wriggled it until she had her hand in his, which was much more comfortable since her hand wasn't just flopping in the air. She was also bumping into him every now and then due to her coordination being effected by the drinks she consumed. Then she proceeded to swing their hands over-dramatically as they walked, obviously very happy for the chance to get to speak with Seth's unofficial sister again.
Unlike Seth, she was completely unaware of how much time it was taking. She didn't even know where they were at until he pointed it out to her. Anya glanced around, spotting his building. "Yeah, that might be best. I don't want her to refuse to give us anything because you ran out of IOUs," she agreed, giggling.

Wow, she really is like a toddler. xD Had she made that comment sober, Seth would have laughed. He had run out of IOUs with Cami years ago; now she expected pilfered money off him every time he asked her for a favour. That was something she'd learned from Senza, a meeting he'd regretted putting in action almost immediately. Those two took too much pleasure in making his life difficult. Thankfully, Cami wasn't as bad as Senza.
He brought Anya up to his penthouse and ushered her in, then shut and subtly locked the door behind them. Hopefully, if she tried to escape, it would take her a minute to figure out she had to unlock the door first. Then he led her down the hall and to a room adjacent to the kitchen. It was a lavishly furnished sitting room, with plenty of comfortable-looking chairs and couches, most of which he'd never actually sat on before. "Alright," he told Anya. "You sit tight here for a minute, and I'll grab my money."

(Heck, no, we're going to make this as awkward as possible. xD You don't leave her alone in this state, lol.)
Anya sat in that position for a solid... minute before she grew bored. She stood up and wandered around the sitting room. While she was trying to take in the details, her vision was blurry and her focus just wasn't there. The details of the room were quickly pushed from her mind as she suddenly became aware of how much warmer it was inside. The woman had dressed in a longer sleeved shirt, and while outside, it was fine. Inside, however, it was just a bit much. So, the woman decided to free herself of it, fulling believing she had remembered to put on an undershirt over the rest of the undergarments. She had not. Satisfied, she sat back down and waited for Seth. It sure was taking him a long time to grab money. Perhaps he got lost? His house had a lot of rooms, right? The woman tried to recall the last time she was here, but the memories were hazy.

Oh dear. xD Seth was gone maybe ten minutes, and he returned with a bowl of homemade chicken soup, plus lightly buttered bread and salted crackers. Camille's mother made him various foods on a regular basis, always something that kept well because she knew he wasn't home too often. Even when he was home, he rarely had time to make himself food. He'd initially protested her making him food, since it kind of made him feel like a kid who couldn't fend for himself, but in the end, he decided her cooking was too good to spend too much time caring about that.
Seth took all of two steps into the sitting room before he stopped dead, as if he'd hit a wall. He stared blankly at Anya, his brain taking a minute to catch up with his eyes and process what he was seeing. Then he kind of felt like face-palming. Or covering his eyes, although that idea made reminded him of a teenage boy who'd never seen a half-dressed girl before. Which he was not. Instead, he compromised by looking elsewhere in the room. "Anya, what... Where is your shirt?"
